Libby's Pumpkin Recipe Challenge

Event Description
Does your recipe have what it takes to win this year’s LIBBY’S® Pumpkin Recipe Challenge? Don’t miss this opportunity for your recipe to be crowned as this year’s best!

This year’s competition features three categories: Junior (ages 10 to 17), Adult Sweet, and Adult Savory. Only one entry per person!

*** If interested, contestants may also opt to enter their recipe into the "Libby's Bake Better, Do Better" challenge. To be considered for this challenge, contestants are encouraged to use sustainable/organic and locally grown ingredients. The winner will be chosen based on taste of recipe and amount of sustainable and local ingredients. Opting in to the additional challenge requires a list of how your ingredients are sustainable/where they were locally grown. 

1st Place in the Adult and Junior categories will receive $100 in Chamber Checks and 2nd Places will receive $35 in Chamber Checks! Winners of the Junior and Adult categories will compete for the $150 Overall Grand Prize. All entrants will receive a participation ribbon and Pumpkin Bucks to be used at the food venues on Festival grounds. The first 25 contestants to register will receive a Libby's Goodie Bag. 

Winners will be announced at 6:30 pm on August 7th. 

On Sunday, September 12, from 5-7 pm, Eli's Coffee Shop will host a meet and greet with the Grand Prize winner and Category winners with a limited number of samples of the recipes to be shared with those that attend. A People's Choice award will be announced Wednesday, September 15 at 6:25 pm on the Gold's Entertainment Stage on Festival grounds. 

Contestants should drop off their recipes at Potter's Alley between 3:30 and 4 pm on August 7th. Please enter through the front door off of David Street. Contestants should email a digital copy of their recipe to info@mortonillinois.org by August 6th. Bake Better, Do Better Challenge recipes should also include their sustainable/locally grown ingredients.
